Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

809RZD Effect where 30-day deadline is met

(1) This section applies if the required amount in relation to a breach of the TRF deposit rule was transferred out of the account in accordance with section 809RZC(2). (2) Sections 809Q and 809R have effect as if— (a) the intervening transactions had never taken place, and (b) each prohibited sum represented by the required amount had instead been transferred directly (at the time that sum was paid into the TRF capital account) into the account or other property into which the required amount was transferred by virtue of the single one-off qualifying transfer. (3) Each of the following is an “intervening transaction”— (a) each payment into the TRF capital account of a prohibited sum represented by the required amount, and (b) the single one-off qualifying transfer out of the TRF capital account.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
