Pensions Act 2008
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.
Change 1
69 Consultation of members and employers
(1) If an order under section 67 establishes a scheme, the Secretary of State must by order under that section require the trustees to make and maintain arrangements for consulting the members of the scheme and participating employers about the operation, development and amendment of the scheme. (2) The arrangements must include establishment and maintenance of— (a) a panel of persons to represent members (“the members' panel”), and (b) a panel of persons to represent employers (“the employers' panel”). (3) The composition and functions of the panels are to be determined by order under section 67, or by the trustees under an order. (4) The functions of the members' panel may include nominating individuals to be members of the trustee corporation. (5) An order under section 67 may provide for payments to panel members out of scheme funds.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
