Legal Services Act 2007
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.
Change 1
6 Annual report
(1) The Board must prepare a report (“the annual report”) for each financial year. (2) The annual report must deal with— (a) the discharge of the Board's functions, (b) the extent to which, in the Board's opinion, the Board has met the regulatory objectives, and (c) such other matters as the Lord Chancellor may from time to time direct. (3) As soon as reasonably practicable after the end of each financial year, the Board must give the Lord Chancellor a copy of the annual report prepared for that year. (4) The Lord Chancellor must lay a copy of the annual report before Parliament. (5) In this section “financial year” means— (a) the period beginning with the day on which the Board is established and ending with the next following 31 March, and (b) each successive period of 12 months.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
