Title 22 Elections

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

What to do with it
As published

22-7-103. Establishing or altering election districts or precincts; designation of special precincts.

(a) In establishing or altering election districts or voting precincts, the board of county commissioners shall be guided by the interests and convenience of the greatest number of electors involved. Election districts and voting precincts shall coincide with the boundary of a municipality or ward therein and school and community college trustee residence areas and shall not cross municipal boundaries except in cases where the board of county commissioners finds, and specifies in the minutes of its meeting the reasons why it is not practical to conform the boundaries of the election district or precinct to the municipal boundary. (b) For elections other than the primary and general election, the county commissioners may designate different precincts than those used in the general election.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
