Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.
Change 1
10 A society's name
(1) A society may not be registered under this Act under a name which in the opinion of the FCA is undesirable. (2) The last word in the name of every registered society must be— (a) “limited”, or (b) if the society's rules state that its registered office is to be in Wales, either “limited” or “cyfyngedig”. This is subject to the following provisions of this section. (3) If the FCA is satisfied that a society's objects are wholly charitable or benevolent— (a) it may register the society by a name which does not comply with subsection (2), or (b) it may give the society approval under section 13 for a change of name to one that does not comply with that subsection. (4) But if it subsequently appears to the FCA that the society (whether in consequence of a change in its rules or otherwise) is not being conducted wholly for charitable or benevolent objects— (a) the FCA may direct that the word “limited” (or in an appropriate case “cyfyngedig”) be added as the last word in the society's name, and (b) if it does so, it must give the society notice of the direction.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
