Children and Adoption Act 2006
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.
Change 1
10 Review
(1) The Secretary of State must keep under review, in relation to each restricted country, whether it should continue to be a restricted country. (2) If the Secretary of State determines, in relation to a restricted country, that there is no longer reason to believe what is mentioned in subsection (1) of section 9, he must by order revoke the order containing the declaration made in relation to it under subsection (4) of that section. (3) Before making a determination under subsection (2), the Secretary of State must consult— (a) the National Assembly for Wales, and (b) the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety in Northern Ireland. (4) In this section, “restricted country” has the same meaning as in section 9.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
