Bribery Act 2010
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

(2) For the purposes of such proceedings— (a) rules of court relating to the service of documents have effect as if the partnership were a body corporate, and (b) the following provisions apply as they apply in relation to a body corporate— (i) section 33 of the Criminal Justice Act 1925 and Schedule 3 to the Magistrates' Courts Act 1980, (ii) section 18 of the Criminal Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 1945 (c. 15 (N.I.)) and Schedule 4 to the Magistrates' Courts (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 (S.I. 1981/1675 (N.I.26)), (iii) section 70 of the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995. (3) A fine imposed on the partnership on its conviction for an offence under section 7 is to be paid out of the partnership assets. (4) In this section “partnership” has the same meaning as in section 7.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
