Sihtkaitsevööndi kaitse-eesmärk on elustiku mitmekesisuse, metsakoosluste, maastikuilme ja pinnavormi säilitamine, kaitsealuste liikide ja nende elupaikade ning ajaloolis-kultuurilise väärtusega objekti kaitse.
